Where does the service take place?
Services takes place at my location in Santee, CA. Address will be provided upon booking.
What form of payments do you accept?
I currently accept Cash, Venmo and Square.
Do you provide a senior discount?
YES! I offer 10% off all services to people 60+ years.
Do you offer a veteran discount?
Yes! I offer 10% off for veterans.
Are you a head spa?
Yes, ellxi hair wash is a head spa but use the term hair wash. I specialize in a healthy scalp.
Do you treat head lice?
I do not treat head lice. If you have head lice please do not book our services since we do not have the ability to treat head lice.
What type of hair do you service?
I service all types of hair; coarse, curly, straight, wavy - I do it ALL! Based on your hair type we will choose the correct shampoo and conditioner (if needed).
Can I add more time to my services?
Absolutely! You can add it when you are booking your appointment. You can add time in increments of 5 minutes for $5 more i.e. for 10 minutes you would pay an extra $10. You can also add while you are getting your hair wash but it is not guaranteed depending if another session is booked after yours.
What kind of products do you use?
I use Nekko, Davines and Act + Acre. These companies use natural ingredients and are sustainable. Based on your hair type and which service you book, we will match a shampoo/conditioner for your hair.
What kind of ingredients are in these products?
Act + Acre ingredients are boabab and basil leaf, moringa extract and baobab oil and more natural ingredients.
Nekko ingredients are camellia sinesis, ubiquinone, kelp, eucalyptus, bilberry, ginger, rosemary and fine bubble water.
Davines uses a variety of clean ingredients but mostly roucou oil, minuta olive extract, salina caper blossom extract and more
Do you color hair? Do you give haircuts?
No, I do not color hair nor do we give haircuts. ellxi only offers hair washing and massage. After the wash and massage we will brush your hair & send you on your way!
What if I don’t want to use conditioner?
That is totally FINE! We get it, sometimes conditioner isn’t your cup of tea. Just let us know before I start washing your hair and I will be sure not to use conditioner.
How many times should I get a deep hair wash?
It depends on the condition of your scalp but usually I recommend at least twice a month for two months and once a month after.
Do you do blow outs?
No, I do not do blow outs. I recommend to not blow dry your hair for 2 reasons:
Your scalp needs to absorb the products used without it being stripped with heat
You should let your hair dry 80% of the way before applying heat to scalp which strips away the natural oils produced.
